H.Y.P.E. Grants now Available

H.Y.P.E. (Helping Youth Promote Empowerment) is a youth‐run grant program that provides money to help Minneapolis youth and youth agencies that want to make our city a better place in which to grow up. Grants are available from $250 - $2,000. The deadline to apply is December 2nd.

Lights On Afterschool

One million Americans and more than 7,500 communities nationwide are celebrating the afterschool programs that keep kids safe, inspire them to learn and help working families. United Way Supports Community Education

The Greater Twin Cities United Way has awarded $125,000 annually to Minneapolis Community Education. This grant is effective July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2014. Funding will be used to create a new after-school youth program at Bancroft Elementary and to increase youth programming at Sanford Middle School to serve the growing student population.
